Repairs (2023)

Repairs (2023) is a stop-motion thesis film by Ray Schindler. The film was created and directed by Ray Schindler, with Andy Small providing additional animation, and Madeline J. Davis and Juno Cohen providing the voices.

Logline:
In the lead up to their first anniversary a blacksmith and a ceramicist try to keep their gifts for each other a surprise while working in their shared studio.
Synopsis:
In the days leading up to their first wedding anniversary a ceramist (Terra) and a black smith (Violet) work on their gifts for each other in their shared studio. While working on their gifts they both sneak around the studio attempting to see what the other is working on. In an attempt to to mitigate the spying they begin to construct elaborate barriers of their household furniture. As they get closer to revealing their gifts tragedy strikes when a give is broken and they work together to repair it.
